In depth observations, inspections and testing during the construction phase will help to check that your home is being built per the specs we developed with you.  These site observations are far more encompassing than those of the bank or the codes inspector, which are typically just checking on progress and codes violations, not the quality and accuracy of the construction with regards to “getting what you paid for”.

We will work with the builder to make sure you are getting what you should.  For example, are the windows that are installed in your home, the same ones that are listed in your contract and you are paying for?  Are your floor boards glued and screwed down per the specs/requirements?

During this phase, we perform a commissioning check on your home.  This will help make sure your systems are running properly and saving you the most energy, which translates to saving money!  For example, a loose wire on a HVAC system caused the heating and cooling to run 2-3 times more than it needed to.  This problem cost the homeowner an average of approximately $80 a month of energy use.  Had it been commissioned at the end of construction, this problem could have been avoided.
